What is MNRI?

What is MNRI?
MNRI® stands for Masgutova NeuroSensory Reflex Integration. It was developed by Dr. Svetlana Masgutova through her experience in helping individuals recover from traumatic events.

Dr. Masgutova has a deep understanding of the central nervous system and uses primary reflex patterns to facilitate human growth, development, and increase resiliency.

According to MNRI® principles, children with neurodevelopmental challenges exhibit post-traumatic responses, which hinder their learning abilities.

By working with primary reflexes, the therapist can strengthen the nervous system, increase stress resilience, and promote positive neuroplasticity for growth and development.

Who will benefit from MNRI?

Yichien uses MNRI® as a fundamental approach to treat children with a wide variety of challenges.

MNRI can be used to facilitate neurodevelopment in :
  • Children struggling with growth and development, particularly those with delays in feeding, communication, speech-language, and cognition.
  • Children with diagnoses such as brain injuries (e.g. Cerebral Palsy), genetic disorders (e.g. Down Syndrome), attention deficits (e.g. ADHD and ADD), and Autism.
Who will benefit from MNRI?

Yichien’s Comments: I came into MNRI® training after witnessing positive changes in minimally verbal children. I completed MNRI® certification and became a Core Specialist in 2019. I have since developed expertise in using MNRI® to integrate oral-facial-motor reflexes to support learning of oral functions and to jump-start cognition.
